The Buhusi town is located in the northern part of Bacau County. The relief of the locality falls morphologically in the Subcarpathian area of Moldova, in the south of the Cracau-Bistrita depression. The climate of the locality is in the type of climate with continental shade, with large temperature differences between winter and summer. The prevailing air masses are NE-SV, V-S. There are two vegetation formations, forest and silvostepa. The forested area is represented by the beech and oak floor on the Runc hill and the grassy steppe. From the point of view of nationality, Romanians predominate. Of the other ethnicities, we mention Roma, Ciangai, Jews and Germans. From a confessional point of view, the majority is Orthodox. The mosaic, Catholic and Pentecostal cults also manifest. There are four Orthodox churches in the locality, which include the Ciolpani and Runc monasteries, a Catholic church, a synagogue and a Pentecostal place of worship. From the touristic point of view, the area has several attractive objectives, such as: Runc-Racova secular trunk, Runc and Ciolpani monasteries, The History Museum. The natural landscape, especially the Runc-Ciolpani area, is particularly attractive. This is an important recreation point for the city's inhabitants and not only. In the Runca forest was set up a school camp.
